John McPhee's "The Patch"

I see John McPhee has a new book out called The Patch. There’s an excellent review of it by Alex Abramovich in Bookforum’s current issue. McPhee is one of The New Yorker's all-time greats. A new book by him is a major event. I look forward to reading and reviewing The Patch in the coming weeks. I can’t think of a better way to start the new year.
